Staring tonight, it’s all downhill for Lauren Conrad as the “unwritten” reality series, centering on her life begins its final season. And it seems that "frenemy" Heidi Montag, isn't shedding too many tears for long-lost pal LC.
Montag tells MTV News: "We don't need her, we'll miss her. I just don't know if we need her." She goes on to say she was not surprised about Conrads decision to make this her last season: "I know she hasn't been wanting to be doing this for a while, and [the life she really leads] is not on camera," she says. "So I think it's a closing chapter for her. I'm sure she'll have fun and success."
Montag adds, "She's gotta leave the drama to the pros! I love The Hills and I definitely don't want to go anywhere anytime soon. That's my home and I'm so grateful to be on it, so we'll see."
In Conrad's “real” life she is dating “My Boys” actor Kyle Howard – the two were spotted this past weekend romping around the beaches of Malibu hitting the water for a paddleboat outing, and enjoying a shoreline stroll.
In related news, Heidi released two new singles — “Look How I’m Doing” and “Your Love Found Me” — the track title saying it all about this self absorbed songbird. Also, Lauren Conrad has her first fiction novel, L.A. Candy, hitting shelves June 16th. This novel is the first of a three-book series of young adult fiction, and tells a behind-the-scenes story of a young girl named Jane Roberts who moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality television show. Roberts can't wait to start living it up.
Conrad hopes MTV will consider backing the fictional series and make it into an MTV movie/series. For the other two installments –
