
This Fall, the CW Network will add backbiting to there teen-raged backstabbing programs and air the pilot for their new series, Vampire Diaries, based on a series of books from L.J. Smith, centers on a woman who falls for two vampire brothers - one good and one evil.
The teenage trio’s story play out in a small Virginia town and focuses on two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and Elana Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), a human girl who reportedly gets whatever she wants.
Other cast membes include: Zach Roerig (Friday Night Lights) and Kayla Ewell (Entourage), and Steven R. McQueen (grandson of the late Steve McQueen). Roerig is in line to play a jock named Matt and Ewell's his sister, and McQueen was cast in the role of Jeremy, younger brother to Elena.
The story will be brought to the small screen by Kevin Williamson, famous for Scream and Dawson’s Creek, and Kyle XY’s Julie Plec. Both will pen the project with Williamson executive producing along with Les Morgenstein and Bob Levy. Vampire Diaries is scheduled to air this Fall.
