
This March a new drama series is being launched on NBC called “Kings”. From executive producer Michael Green comes a riveting new drama about a modern day monarchy. "Kings" is a contemporary re-telling of the timeless tale of David and Goliath. This series is an epic story of greed and power, war and romance, forbidden loves and secret alliances. "Kings" is an inspiring exploration of young hero who rises to power in a modern-day kingdom. The show is set in a modern metropolis under siege where the fighting has gone on for too long and cost far too many lives. When several prisoners of war are taken, David Shepherd (Christopher Egan) a brave young soldier defies orders and crosses enemy lines to save them, unknown to David, the soldier he recues is Jack Benjamin (Sebastian Stan) the king's (Ian McShane) he sets events in motion that will finally bring peace and from that day forth, David’s life will never be the same. Suddenly, David is thrust into the limelight, earning the affections of women - including the king's daughter. When he's promoted to Captain, he becomes the reluctant poster boy for hope. But for David, the line between his allies and enemies will blur as the power players in the kingdom go to great lengths to see him fall.

The show stars Golden Globe winner Ian McShane, from "Deadwood”, Chris Egan from "Eragon" and thriller "Crush," which is set to be released in 2009, and Sebastian Stan from "The Covenant” and recurring role on the show "Gossip Girl," playing Carter Baizen.. Also in the cast is Susanna Thompson, Allison Miller, General Linus Abner, Reverend Ephram Samuels and William Cross. Don’t miss the two-hour SEASON PREMIERE of Kings. Sunday, March 15th at 8/7c.
