George Clooney is going undercover in the new Coen Brothers comedy “Burn After Reading”. Clooney plays a CIA agent who is currently in the process of writing a book but loses the disc containing his only manuscript.
Clooney reunites with filmmaking duo Joel and Ethan Coen (Intolerable Cruelty and O Brother, Where Art Thou) for the third time in this film that revolves around the world of CIA agents, physical fitness in Washington, and Internet dating.
In an interview to the press Clooney said: “I’m doing another film with them, beginning of next year,” Clooney tells me. “It’s called Burn After Reading. It’s about a C.I.A. guy who’s writing a book and he loses the disc.n I’m not the C.I.A. guy, but I’m a guy that goes around killing people. It looks really fun. This will be my third idiot -- [the Coens] call it my trilogy of idiots.
The film also stars Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton, John Malkovich, and Frances McDormand – set to open Fall 2008.
