Two-time Grammy winner Usher has two other things to be proud of these days. Usher and his beautiful wife Tameka Foster welcomed baby boy Usher Raymond V into the world at 9:55 p.m. Monday, November 26. Usher was with his wife and new son URV at an Atlanta hospital during the time of birth - URV weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and he and mom are doing well.
Usher said in a statement (through by publicist Patti Webster) released to the press last Tuesday (November 27): “We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son. What a blessing!”
Usher mother Jonetta Patton released a statement to People Magazine, stating: “I’m extremely excited and filled with joy about the birth of my grandson, Usher Raymond V. “He is beautiful, precious, healthy and such a blessing. I’m very happy for my son and his wife. God has truly blessed them with a special gift. This will be an amazing holiday season for all of us."
In September, Usher spoke to the press about the future of fatherhood: ”I’ve found that it is a step-by-step process. You can wish for a million and one things. But I hope that my son has the same energy I had as a child. Hopefully, he won’t be as bad as me. I hope he’s just a healthy son.” “I just want my son to fully be coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost. URV is the couple’s first child. Foster, 37, has three children from a previous marriage.
Congrats to Usher and Tameka!!
