Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson were in Sin City this past weekend to support co-star Samuel L. Jackson, who hosted Spike TV’s 2007 Video Game Awards, held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Friday. You may remember Rachel and Hayden were rumored to have been dating this past summer but it is rumored that from the looks of things this past weekend it was - Game Over.
The 2007 Video Game Award show pays tribute to the outstanding achievements of games, breakthrough technology, and provides a forecast of the future of gaming—including exclusive sneak peeks and world premiere footage of some of the hottest and most anticipated games of 2008 and beyond.
A fitting place to be since the three also launched the world premiere screening of their new Action / Sci-Fi Fantasy movie “Jumper,” at the Egypt’s Great Sphinx in front of the Luxor Hotel and Casino.
“Jumper” is about a genetic irregularity that allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between “Jumpers” and those who have sworn to kill them.
The evening also featured award presentations and appearances by Heroes hottie Kristen Bell, Criss Angel, “Chuck” stars Joshua Gomez and Zachary Levi, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, “The Ultimate Fighter 1” winner Forrest Griffin, MTV surreal reality couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, NFL quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Matt Leinart, and the one and only Tila Tequila from MTVs “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.
Game of the year went to BioShock (2K Games/ 2K Boston - 2K Australia). Check out a complete list of winners after the jump.
The 2007 Video Game Awards will air this Sunday @ 9PM ET/PT on Spike TV. Jumper opens in theaters everywhere February 14, 2008.
