This past weekend in Milan, Giorgio Armani introduced us to the Emporio Armani man for Fall '10. While he stays true to the Emporio color touchstones of black, white, and gray, the EA man also likes to add a shock of color. He likes to snowboard and also isn't afraid to rock highlighter-yellow EA7/Reebok high-tops.

As always, the EA man is as fit as he is fashionable. He's known to favor supple, form-fitting black leather, tone-on-tone suit-and-tie ensembles, plus a bit of velvet now and then. He's the liberated romantic from the future - you can't miss him, nor would you want to.

*Penélope Cruz wore a Giorgio Armani Privé black lace gown

*Jodie Foster presented wearing a Giorgio Armani black strapless gown

*Sophia Loren presented in a Giorgio Armani Privé black evening gown.

*Martin Scorsese (recipient of the Cecil B. de Mille Award) wore a Giorgio Armani one-button peak lapel tuxedo with satin lapels, complemented by a classic spread collar evening shirt, bow tie and formal vest.

*Leonardo di Caprio wore a Giorgio Armani Made-to-Measure two-button peak lapel tuxedo, with a matching microfibre vest and a classic white evening shirt and black bow tie.

GIORGIO ARMANI PRESENTS FASHION LIVE THIS SATURDAY

Mr Giorgio Armani will be showing his Men's Autumn/Winter line for 2010-2011 and is expecting a large audience. The show will be in Milan and start at 4:30pm CET. We know that Milan is no subway ride for New Yorkers or a ride down PCH for you citizens of CA, so the show will be streamed LIVE online. As for the "CET," it is no typo, it is the Central European Timezone. For us Americanos, that means 10:30am on the East Coast and 7:30am for the West. True, this does involve waking up at a decent hour but what better way to be current on upcoming Fall fashion?

Cristiano Ronaldo - The New Face of Emporio Armani

Move over David Beckham, here comes Cristiano Ronaldo. Just-released images of football (soccer) star Cristiano Ronaldo show the ab-tastic athlete stripped down and flaunting his assets for the Spring/Summer 2010 campaigns for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear and Armani Jeans.

The 24-year-old Portuguese player replaced David Beckham who has been the spokesmodel for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear since January 2008. Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t giving up his day job just yet; he will continue to play for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team. Bigger and better pictures are rumored to be on their way soon, so stay tuned for another scrumptious serving of Cristiano Ronaldo.

CRISTIANO RONALDO WILL BE THE NEW FACE OF EMPORIO ARMANI AND ARMANI JEANS

Move over David Beckham and make room for Cristiano Ronaldo who will now be the new face for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Giorgio Armani announced this morning that the player for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team will be the “new official worldwide testimonial” for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear and Armani Jeans starting from Spring/Summer 2010.

The 24-year-old Portuguese soccer star, who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team, will be replacing David Beckham who has been the spokesmodel for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear since January 2008. Beckham is taking a seat on the sidelines to develop his own men’s underwear line. We can’t wait to see the new ads.

GIORGIO ARMANI SPRING SUMMER 2010 FASHION SHOW

It seems like it's going to be a short summer in 2010 at least where hemlines are concerned. This week the Spring Summer 2010 Milan fashion week took place in Milan Italy. The Armani Show held at the Milano Fashion Center was a bright and upbeat spring/summer 2010 collection.

The normally urban Armani went for a bright summer look with cheerful houndstooth prints and youthful short styles. The collection featured lots of loose-fitting and comfortable pieces paired with more structured looks—a bubble skirt and cropped jacket, or loose blousey tops and short pleated. Everything to evening wear was short, which included loose shorts, or sparkly shorts under slightly shorter dresses. Deep open V backs were ideal for showing off well-tanned backs, sometimes crisscrossed by strips of fabric

Janet Jackson was spending the week in Milan for a charity dinner she is chairing next week, made an appearance at the second show. Also sitting front row: Swiss tennis champ Roger Federer and Chiense actress Zhang Ziyi.

A well-looking Armani, dressed completely in black, waved to the crowd after the show before disappearing backstage. “During my 30 years in fashion, I explored many different roads, from minimalism to ethnic, but most of the time, people expect the same style from me and don’t understand change,” designer Giorgio Armani said. “That’s my challenge.”

Also answering in response to speculation over succession at his Milan fashion house after the 75 year old designer's recent bout with hepatitis. The designer told reporters after the show, "No purchases, no sales,".

THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE PREMIERES IN NYC

Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour premiered her new documentary The September Issue at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday August 19th. Renee Zellweger and Sienna Miller joined Anna to celebrate this monumental occasion.

The documentary is about making the biggest issue in the history of Vogue and is artfully shot by Director R. J. Cutler. The idea was to follow the legendary Wintour as she crafted the magazine and meted out rewards and punishments to quaking designers, by deciding who – and who not – to cover. The film follows Wintour as she holds power meetings, power lunches and rules the runway from the first row during fashion shows. With unprecedented access, this film tells the story of legendary Wintour and her larger-than-life team of editors creating the issue and ruling the world of fashion.

The movie gives viewers access to the inner workings of Vogue. At the eye of this annual fashion hurricane is the two-decade relationship between Wintour and Grace Coddington, Creative Director and fashion genius. The September Issue opens in NY on August 28 and on September 11 in Los Angeles and select cities.

VICTORIA BECKHAM FEATURED IN NEW ADS FOR EMPORIO ARMANI

Victoria Beckham has been featured in another campaign for Giorgio Armani in her latest underwear shoot for Emporio Armani. This latest add has the Spice mama mastering the trick of climbing a ladder in high heels. The 35-year-old mother-of-three looks to have accomplished this shoot with effortless ease.

Victoria, 35, and David, 34, have posed for a series of shots taken by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in Milan. This new ad is slated to appear in fashion magazines and on signature billboards this fall. The power couple will appear in fashion magazines and on signature billboards in major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Rome, Paris and Tokyo, from September.

The Beckhams are signed into a 32 million dollar deal with the Armani Brand as David signed a 20 million deal to become the new global ambassador, and Victoria has her own £12 million deal.

The stunning Megan Fox sits front and center of course at the Giorgio Armani Prive Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010 Fashion Show during Paris Fashion Week at Palais de Chaillot on Tuesday (July 7) in Paris, France.

The “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” vixen stole the show in her sexy white one-shoulder dress with black peep-toe heels.

The Armani runway show is always a highlight of Paris Fashion Week, which draws celebrities and designers from all over the globe. Also spotted there was Cate Blanchett.

NEW UNDERWEAR BILLBOARD RELEASED OF DAVID BECKHAM

David Beckham unveiled the latest image for his Armani underwear campaign at Selfridges in London. The billboard spanned six stories high and featured the chiseled chest of the the soccer star. The street was cordoned off by police as thousands of fans crowded the store’s entrance to get a look at David’s assets. The massive crowd that had gathered for the event some as early as 9am, eagerly awaited for the final moment. As this marks the first billboard of Beckham to appear in London, the crowd cheered and whistled with their approval. His wife, Victoria Beckham, was inside the store, doing some personal shopping.

The soccer star was clad in a navy single-breasted Armani suit and accompanied by presenter Gaby Logan, Beckham seemed amused by the attention and screams from fans. Logan congratulated him on England's win over Andorra yesterday, and when asked if he enjoyed posing for the campaign, he admitted: "I don't mind having the photograph taken but it's a little bit embarrassing when it's unveiled."

He confessed that his slicked down, side-parted hair was yet another in a long line of hairstyles for him and said: "I wondered about wearing it like that today." In this latest reveal photoshoot yet, the 34-year-old LA Galaxy and Milan star poses stripped down to black briefs, with a rope coiled around his waist. His hair is slicked down and side-parted.

Beckham said "I'm very proud to be here. I'm from London. My mum's here, my wife's here and my mother-in-law. Thank you to everyone for turning up." Logan then asked if he would be bringing his family to see the billboard. "I might drive them past," he said. "I don't know about it giving me a buzz but I'm very proud of it."

Giorgio Armani said, "David has a great sense of style and is an inspiring role model – this is what makes him the perfect partner for Emporio Armani underwear. I am very excited that David Beckham's new campaign image was unveiled exclusively in his home country and where better than at such an iconic retail destination as Selfridges." The image was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott renowned fashion photographers who are also responsible for the images of Victoria Beckham for Armani.

The company has seen a 150% rise in the sale of their underwear – as seen on Beckham – since the three-year deal, rumored to be worth 10million dollars launched in 2007.

EMPORIO ARMANI WOMEN'S COLLECTION AUTUMN/WINTER 2009-2010

Giorgio Armani is renowned for beautiful lines and delicate cuts and this new collection is no exception. It was an epic collection, something to please everyone, and a look to suit all occasions. Although it did divert from typical Armani, it was far more preppy in a -Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl- way. All outfits were teamed with socks and platform shoes, which just added to the nouveau preppy feel. The Emporio Armani Autumn Winter collection is described in this official press release:

A NEW LIGHTNESS

Playful and witty in mood, exploring line with an adventurous sense of shape, the Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 Emporio Armani collection for women is supremely Armani in its stylistic concept, but invigorated by an unexpected sense of lightness adding extra brio and energy to the classic values of an Armani wardrobe.

“There are five senses,” wrote Alighiero Boetti, considered one of the masters of conceptual art, “and then the sixth, which is thought, the most extraordinary faculty possessed by man, one that has no natural equivalent.” It is this sixth sense that is the inspiration for the new collection, a restatement of the Armani code in tune with the present time.

Consequently, the skirt is shortened, emphasising the lithe beauty of the leg, which is highlighted by sheer tights and socks with necktie mini patterns. This achieves a continuous look with the brogue-style shoes and also provides an occasional touch of fun and bravura.

A novel treatment of jewellery – draped over the hip like a chain or on the jacket – hints at the delights of modest extravagance. Look for the well-defined waistlines, long jackets doubling as coats, or stylised and nimble overcoats. Knitwear resembles fabric, fabrics that are as soft as knitwear, adorned by a foam of petals as frills and ruffles on the sleeves and collars. This is a collection that is so feminine that it excludes trousers, and in its attention to detail each single garment is transformed into a small everyday indulgence.

The colour palette supports the shapes: very dark green mixed with asphalt grey and shadowy black; carbon paper blue that merges into midnight black and then fades into the pale radiant tones of dawn. At this point, jackets give way to delicate pullovers, slightly glossy jersey knits, and caressing velvets.

EMPORIO ARMANI UNDEWEAR AD UNVIELED

As if one Beckham isn’t hot enough alone to make temperatures rise, Mr. Armani has raised the bar as the new ad for the spring/summer 2009 collection was unveiled in Milan today. David and Victoria have joined forces to pose together for the Emporio Armani underwear campaign. Both have made separate appearances in the advertising campaign for Emporio Armani underwear but this is the first picture of them seen posing together.

Photographed in a black and white, the pair are in an intimate bedroom scene where David is wearing white briefs, lying on his stomach on a bed, his head resting on his arm, while Victoria is wearing a bra with white polka dots as she lies back on the edge of the bed, her face edged to the side. There’s no denying how electric and sexy this ad is.

The Emporio Armani Underwear campaign ad was unveiled in Milan yesterday, January 20. Giorgio Armani is creating a strong buzz in Milan just in time for the Milan menswear shows, with his Emporio Armani show on Sunday, his Giorgio Armani collection showed Monday and finally the billboard featuring the Beckhams being strategically placed in the fashion packed city on Monday. Giorgio Armani commented: “I chose Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani Women’s Underwear campaign because she is a stylish and intriguing woman. Great underwear is alluring and provocative, and so I wanted to work with someone who would make a real impression. I’m sure Victoria’s presence will generate great excitement.”

SNEAK PEEK AT VICTORIA BECKHAMS EMPORIO ARMANI UNDERWEAR CAMPAGIN

After announcing several months ago that she would be the latest model for the Emporio Armani underwear line, the ads have finally come out. Victoria Beckham reveals the stunning results of her first lingerie shoot for designer Giorgio Armani. The Emporio Armani Underwear Spring/summer 2009 campaign was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and the moody black-and-white portraits show the mother of three lounging around an unmade bed in her barest essentials. The pictures of Victoria, which will grace billboards and magazines are from her first shoot in the three year multi-million dollar deal.

Victoria landed the modeling campaign late last year, following in the footsteps of her soccer superstar husband David, 33, who posed in his underwear for a high profile Armani campaign which attracted thousands of fans at its unveiling in San Francisco in 2008. Victoria Beckham has said, “It’s an honor to have been selected by Mr. Armani to represent the Emporio Armani Underwear brand and to execute his vision with the incredibly talented team of Mert & Marcus. To be given this opportunity to work with Armani is thrilling. I have so much respect for him.”

While Armani himself praised Victoria, herself a designer, as 'a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women's underwear business. Victoria has previously worked as a model, and has recently launched her own collection of dresses under her own label dVb which have won acclaim from the fashion industry's fiercest critics. Rumor has it that Posh is under contract with Armani through 2012, so get ready to see a lot of Posh in magazines and on billboards near you for the next few years.

GIORGIO ARMANI DRESSES TORERO RIVERA ORDONEZ

Giorgio Armani has conceived a costume for famed bullfighter Cayetano Rivera Ordonez for the annual Corrida Goyesca event, taking place September 6 in Ronda, Spain.

Ordonez will wear a specially designed "goyesco" bullfighting costume consisting of a techno satin jacket, trousers and overcoat. This three-pieces ensemble will be grey embroidered with sequins and small glitter stones. Mr. Armani collaboration with Rivera Ordonez dates back to last year, when Ordonez was featured in the Giorgio Armani Hand Made-to-Measure ad campaign.

BEN BARNES GETS THE ROYAL TREATMENT

Ben Barnes, the hottie actor who stars in Chronicles of Narnia Movie Prince Caspian, was seen with Giorgio Armani after the Emporio fashion show in Milan during Fashion Week. The young Barnes will next be seen in Easy Virtue- an indie romantic comedy with Jessica Biel. Barnes' big break was the scoring the lead in the Prince Caspian film-the second of seven Chronicles movies that Walt Disney Pictures plans to make. Work on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has started with a May 7, 2010 release date.

Giorgio Armani showed his Prive show at couture week last week at Palais du Chaillot, in Paris, and his infamous league of A-list celebrity “friends of the house” showed up to watch the legend at work.

Actresses Hilary Swank and Ellen Pompeo, of Grey’s Anatomy, and burlesque star Dita Von Teese watched in amazement as the parade of well-defined dresses with layers of ruffled organza hem lines, oversized bows and huge high collars made their way down the catwalk.

Giorgio Armani has received an honorary degree in industrial design from the Politecnico di Milano-just six months after getting his doctorate from university of the Arts London. Armani spoke briefly at the graduate proceedings and was given a standing ovation by the impressed students who regard him as their inspiration.
