From the organization that brought rock music royalty and climbing enthusiasts together on Mount Everest in '07, Love Hope Strength Foundation now invites you on their latest musical journey to the roof of Africa.
Join 30 musicians, cancer survivors and supporters as they embark upon another symbolic pilgrimage to Uhuru, the 19,341ft peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. This adventure/fundraiser is not for the faint of heart and will challenge your body and willpower as you climb the world's largest free-standing mountain. We will do so in order to bring love, hope and strength to the people of East Africa. Funds from "Kilimanjaro Rocks" will be used to support the main cancer center in East Africa, located in Nairobi, Kenya. Get ready for the greatest, most meaningful, adventure of your life!
Cancer is one of the world’s most powerful killers and will touch each and every one of us in our lifetime. It knows no borders and sees no color, race, religion, age or socioeconomic demographic. It is a global issue in need of support from a worldwide network. Through innovative concerts and climbs, LHSF will be providing critical funding for cancer centers worldwide so that ALL people have access to quality treatment and are given the best chance at survival.
Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHSF) is an international charity with chapters in the US, UK and Australia. Founded by leukemia survivors Mike Peters of the Welsh rock band the Alarm and President of CSI Entertainment James Chippendale with the goal of providing all cancer patients with the same opportunities that they had, including access to information, quality cancer treatment and the best medication available.
