The current writers strike may have derailed the highly rated Golden Globes ceremony but as the saying goes “The Show Must Go On”, and it did – sort of.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which sponsors the Globes, decided to scrapped their traditional three-hour gala when it became clear that most of Hollywood’s a-list celebrities that make up the nominated actors and presenters would likely boycott the event.

Instead, NBC aired a bare bones version on the Globes, on Sunday, to announce the winners during a half-hour news conference at the Beverly Hilton Hotel attended by journalists, media executives and publicists but the Golden Globes Winners still shine.
