
Actor Orlando Bloom took some time out of his busy schedule to visit Katmandu, the capital city of Nepal, this week. Mount Everest, one of Nepal’s most famous places, is the subject of a documentary that Orlando Bloom was involved with making.
The British actor played the part of narrator on the new DVD “Everest: A Climb for Peace”, “a socially relevant documentary about peace, war, and the human spirit.” According to reports the Dalai Lama had lavished praise for the project – calling the new DVD “a tremendous achievement.”
The Everest Peace Project mission is having international, multi-cultural Peace Climbs on mountains across the world. In harmony with the United Nation's fundamental goals - our vision, through the example of international cooperation is to promote a Global Community that strives for peace and compassion. The EPP is dedicated to establish a lasting legacy of education by helping build at least 1 school and 2 libraries for children in Nepal.
