
Alicia Keys, Kylie Minogue, KT Tunstall, Melissa Etheridge, and Annie Lennox will perform at the Oslo Spektrum, Norway to celebrate piece and perform at this years perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Event Concert, on December 11. The Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony is followed the next day by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert - broadcasted live and hosted by Uma Thurman and Tommy Lee Jones.
The award is given annually to an individual whose humanitarian efforts exemplify a spirit of generosity and leadership that will help spread the positive message manifested by the Nobel Peace Prize throughout the world.
The Nobel Peace Prize is the most prestigious award in the world, and this year the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 is to be shared, in two equal parts, between the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former U.S. Vice-President Albert Arnold Gore Jr. for their work to help build awareness and lay the foundations to disseminate man-made climate change. Al Gore wrote the Oscar-winning documentary titled “An Inconvenient Truth” to increase awareness on global warming.
