LINDSAY MORGAN LOHAN IS SUDDENLY SINGLE

lindsingle.jpg
Actress - Singer Lindsay Morgan Lohan has recently spit with “snow-boarder” boyfriend Riley Giles, according to a close source to the press.

Lind’s and Riley broke it off just after her weekend in NYC over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

According to insiders: “They’re over – they’ve broken up, they split after Thanksgiving weekend. She made it pretty clear when they got home…its over. She got tired of him pouting all the time. It was fine when they were in Utah, just the two of them. But then they returned to L.A. and Lindsay was shooting a movie, photographers followed them everyone, she had meetings with this agent, that publicist, this director. His ego couldn’t take it.”

Lindsay met Riley while in rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah last August but friends close to the “new and improved” LML are relieved that she is had dumped him. Friends thought Riley was taking advantage of Lindsay’s fame and fortune.

Lindsay isn’t spending too much time licking her wounds - she has been spotted hanging with Stavros Niarchos and Adrian Grenier since she has been back in LA.

On the career path, Lindsay is getting ready to back into the recording studio for her third CD entitled “Nobody’s Angel” for Universal Music Group’s Motown label - parent company to Casablanca (the label that released LLs CD “Speak”).

KEIRA KNIGHTLY IS AT ONE

Keira-Rupert.jpg
Keira Knightly is in snowy New York, with her boyfriend, Rupert Friend, to promote her latest movie “Atonement.”

Keira (22), stars with James McAvoy in this ambitious film adaptation of Ian McEwan’s acclaimed 2001 novel, “Atonement.”

Knightley plays Cecilia Tallis, an upper-class woman in pre-World War II England whose love for the son
(McAvoy) of her family’s housekeeper is sorely and cruelly tested.

“Atonement” previewed back in September, at the Toronto International Film Festival, and reunites Knightley with “Pride & Prejudice” director Joe
Wright. It was then that Knightly spoke to the Boston Globe about the role that is already getting her Oscar buzz.

Keira in the part of Cecilia represents the sort of civilized suffering the Academy adores, but for Knightly the role is so much more, being her first mature part but a part that’s about maturing - about taking responsibility for one’s own choices and feelings.

ON PLAYING THE PART:
“I was looking for something more mature, and when I got the script,
she sort of ticked all the boxes. I wanted a woman who was dealing with
the problems of being a woman, not the problems of being a girl. I liked that she wasn’t particularly nice. I liked the fact that she wasn’t particularly good. And I loved that she was, in a funny way,
redeemed by her love and by her sacrifice. Well, what I loved about Cecilia is that she’s wearing a mask, all the time. I think most people are. What was interesting was looking at that mask and then looking at what was underneath. It’s the 1930s and ‘40s, which was the peak of the British stiff upper lip, the peak of that society’s emotional repression.

As far as the characterization goes, it hugely helped to watch a lot of ‘40s British movies: Celia Johnson [in “Brief Encounter”], and Deborah Kerr. It helps with that voice. There’s rigidness. The whole stiff-upper-lip thing is literally that. You see it a lot in older generations, people in their 80s in Britain, in the upper middle class and upper class - they’ve got this very held-together face, and that’s what we were trying to get. Once you imagine yourself in the period, actually, I found the characterization very easy. There didn’t seem to be another option about how to play her.”

ON WORKING WITH DIRECTOR JOE WRIGHT AGAIN:
It’s wonderful to watch. He’s creating a company. He’s now found Seamus McGarvey, who’s a fabulous director of photography, and the camera team feels like it’s cemented. And then Jacqueline Durran, who’s the costume designer, who did “Pride & Prejudice,” and Sarah Greenwood, who was the production designer, who also did “Pride & Prejudice.” Dario Marianelli - normally, no actress is ever going to know who the [expletive] the composer is . . .

ON HER NEXT PROJECT WITH MATTHEW RHYS:
“I’ve got a film I just finished that my Mum (playwright Sharman Macdonald) made about the circle of friends around Dylan Thomas. It’s called “The Edge of Love” at the moment I don’t think that title will stick. I play Vera Phillips who was his childhood sweetheart and who he and [Thomas’s wife] Caitlin meet with during the Second World War in Wales.”

“Atonement” opens in limited release on December 7, 2007

USHER PLUS TWO

usher-daddy.jpg
Two-time Grammy winner Usher has two other things to be proud of these days. Usher and his beautiful wife Tameka Foster welcomed baby boy Usher Raymond V into the world at 9:55 p.m. Monday, November 26. Usher was with his wife and new son URV at an Atlanta hospital during the time of birth - URV weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and he and mom are doing well.

Usher said in a statement (through by publicist Patti Webster) released to the press last Tuesday (November 27): “We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son. What a blessing!”

Usher mother Jonetta Patton released a statement to People Magazine, stating: “I’m extremely excited and filled with joy about the birth of my grandson, Usher Raymond V. “He is beautiful, precious, healthy and such a blessing. I’m very happy for my son and his wife. God has truly blessed them with a special gift. This will be
an amazing holiday season for all of us."

In September, Usher spoke to the press about the future of fatherhood:

”I’ve found that it is a step-by-step
process. You can wish for a million and one things. But I hope that my
son has the same energy I had as a child. Hopefully, he won’t be as bad
as me. I hope he’s just a healthy son.” “I just want my son to fully be coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost.

URV is the couple’s first child. Foster, 37, has three children from a previous marriage.

Congrats to Usher and Tameka!!

LINDSAY MORGAN LOHAN GOES COURTSIDE

lindsay-courtside.jpg
Player of all players, Lindsay Morgan Lohan, spent her Sunday courtside at L.A.’s Staples Center, to watch the Orlando Magic beat the hometown Lakers, 104-97.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 28 points, but the point of amazement is that the Magic’s win was the first road win over the Lakers after 10 straight losses, including their last two visits to the Forum. They have won only three of the last 18 meetings overall and nine of 30 since joining the NBA in 1990.

So Lindsay what happened?

RIHANNA IS BREAKIN DISHES AND RECORDS

rihanna-records.jpg
Rihanna is getting ready to ring the alarm with the release of her next single “Breakin’ Dishes” - the fifth single from her album “Good Girl Gone Bad.”

Chris Applebaum is rumored to be on board to direct the music video shoot scheduled to take place in the next few weeks during a break in Rihanna’s World Tour.

The single “Breakin’ Dishes” was scheduled to break on January 15, 2008, but it could drop earlier since it’s gaining speed on the digital download highway - peaking at #40 on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. If Rihanna’s track “Breakin’ Dishes” goes to #1 then it would be her eighth single to reach the top of the charts.

In other news, Rihanna is named a style a icon by Seventeen Magazine – hit hard with her music and personal style. Rihanna had great success with her chart-topping hit single “Umbrella” and been keeping herself busy with the European leg of her “Good Girl Gone Bad Tour,” but the 19-year-old R&B star always looks like a star.

Gina Kelly, Seventeen’s fashion director who helped choose this year’s “Style Stars told the press: “In some ways, it’s the younger generation of celebrities who enjoy the most influence over the fashion world because they’re the ones willing to take the risks that inspire new trends. All the people we picked are true to their own style.”

Gina commented on Rihanna’s style: “I love her because she’s not like anyone else out there. It starts with her haircut. When she started out, it was long and pretty, but when she got the asymmetrical bob, she just started to break out, and then she got a cool new wardrobe to match her cool new hair.”

Rihanna explains her personal style and her love for fashion: “I’m very spontaneous, the best outfits from me come from not thinking about it. When I was growing up in Barbados, I actually learned about fashion from reading magazines and tearing out stuff that I thought was hot.”

Other trend-trackers in year’s Seventeen Style Stars issue are: Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Fergie, Lauren Conrad, Ashlee Simpson, and Lil Mama.
Seventeen Magazine’s first-ever Style Award were announced the December/January “Star Style” issue, on newsstand now.

NICOLE KIDMAN DREAMS OF DAVID BECKHAM

nic-dreams.jpg
Nicole Kidman has revealed her new film ‘Australia’ is the movie she “dreamed of making” since she was a child.

‘Australia’ is a World War II musical extravaganza, directed by ‘Moulin Rouge’ creator Baz Luhrmann, tells the story of an English aristocrat, played by Nicole, who falls in love with a rugged Australian, played by Hugh Jackman.

Nicole said: “It’s just extraordinary in epic-ness. This is the kind of film that I dreamt of making as a little girl. And part of the dream now includes wanting David Beckham to star as a “hunky builder” in her new film ‘Australia’. After seeing him play with his soccer team Los Angeles Galaxy in Australia, she was so taken with the muscular sportsman that she thinks he would be perfect to play the small part of a laborer alongside her in the romantic epic.

However, David has told press: “I never wanted to be an actor. It has never appealed to me. When I finish my soccer career what I want to do most is spend more time with my sons and Victoria and do some work for good causes.”

A|X EXCLUSIVE DJ INTERVIEW

scumfrog_jesse.jpg
SCUMFROG – JESSE HOUK
Amsterdam’s Jesse Houk, aka The Scumfrog, is always thinking ahead. The in-demand remixer and energetic DJ is looking for ways to take dance music to new arenas, weather it’s with his live electronic music act “DJs Are Alive” or at his virtual club, Glam Scum, on Second Life. The “music revolution-ary” is no stranger to traditional dance clubs though, recently headlining Ibiza’s Privilege (the worlds biggest club), playing at the Burning Man festival, and touring constantly. We sat down with the former boy band member to find out his loves, his hates, and what he has planned for his new website.

How did you first get into DJing?

I started DJing in high school in the mid eighties as a way to get invited to parties otherwise exclusive to girls and guys in higher grades. This was long before a DJ was cool. He was usually tucked away somewhere and yelled at for not playing enough Kid n Play. However, the next day in class you could say I was there.

What was your first big break?

Landing two of my tracks on Danny Tenaglias Global Underground compilation in 1999.

How would you describe your personal look/style?

I'm into fashion to the point that I follow certain brands and designers. If something makes me look good I stick with it. But I’m not very hip when it comes to keeping up with the seasons. You’ll be likely to see me in something that is so 2004. I’m not against labels as long as they’re not visible on me.

How would you describe your sound?

Fitting and elevating.

What do you think about the current state of affairs in dance music?

Between Clear Channel still not being down with Trentmoller, and actual music sales being at a seemingly unstoppable decline, dance music is completely underground again, which is, in my humble opinion, when it is at its most innovative and vibrant. More and more producers during their creative process let go of the notion that their songs need to sell or get radio play. This results in music that is more from the heart than from the mind, and on any given underground club night, the result of this trend is very audible.

What other artists or producers have been impressing you lately?

Keep an eye out for Deadmau5 (Canada), D-Nox (Germany), David Gausa (Spain), Lank (Hungary), Tommy Vee (Italy)

What’s your favorite club to play? Favorite city to play in?

The Deep End in Black Rock City

What’s the one thing you cant live without when on the road?

My amazing team back home that informs me where I am, and what I am doing, on an hour-to-hour basis.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen or had happen to you at a gig?

Watching a fellow DJ from the same line-up chatting up a girl while I was performing. He was claiming to be me after she told him she had come to the club to see The Scumfrog. I don’t know if she fell for it, but they did leave the club together.

What exciting stuff do you have coming up? Gigs, albums, travel...?

I did a project with Cyndi Lauper for her upcoming album. The stuff came out really cool and is about ready for release on Sony. For travel info check out www.thescumfrog.com.

With his new website thescrumfrog.com – Jesse is one of the first major producers to give away upcoming tracks to DJs and fans. Check it out and get tour dates, new releases, merchandise, and downloads, and some extra exclusives.

Listen to The Scumfrog’s new show on Sirius Radio’s Area 33 or his most recent DJ mix podcast at theflawlessSound.com. He’ll be playing at New York’s Sullivan Room on December 14, 2007.

LINDSAY MORGAN LOHAN – THE HUNTRESS

lohan-huntress.jpg
If Hollywood were Gothman City then Lindsay Morgan Lohan would be The Huntress – the misunderstood member of the Justice League of America. Once an outgoing, optimistic, naive child that quickly became a master of disguise as she struggled through reckless behavior to hone her superpower abilities.

Well Lindsay had the chance to play out a superhero fantasy on a recent photo shoot, were she posed with a team of superheroes, including Batman and Robin, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk.

Well, like The Huntress, LL had struggled through reckless behavior but is now on the right path to change as she continues her sobriety. Lindsay is concentrating on her life and her career right now with the filming of latest movie “Dare to Love Me” and recording her new CD “Nobody’s Angel”.

But all work and no play could leave even a superhero wanting more in the “dark knight”. Which could explain recent rumors hat LL has been getting close to Dark Knight star Heath Ledger (The Joker). Reports say the two hooked up after meeting at New York’s Beatrice Inn over the Thanksgiving weekend.

According to source reports in the press: “Lindsay and Heath hit it off straight away. When she left the club she started texting him straight away and they hooked up a few times while she was still in New York. They were meeting late at night for sex. It was purely physical.”

Lohan, 21, recently spit with her rehab romance Riley Giles and Heath, 28, split from Michelle Williams - with who he has a two-year-old daughter, Matilda - in September.
Stay tuned..

VICTORIA BECKHAM REVEALS ALL FOR ELLE MAGAZINE

beckham-elle.jpg
Victoria Beckham dishes sexy secrets about her love life with David Beckham in a January issue of ELLE Magazine.

In a recent interview at the couple’s Beverly Hills home in Los Angeles, Saucy Spice revealed, “I sleep naked. I’m going to be naked if I’m getting in bed with him every night!”

Beckham also spoke about her recent move to Los Angeles this summer when her soccer-superstar husband David was signed to play with the Los Angeles Galaxy. “I’m very proud to be British, but here it’s a lot more relaxed. It’s the happiest as a family that we’ve ever been. I just love America.”

Her decision to reunite with the Spice Girls was strictly child’s play: “I wanted my children to see that Mummy was a pop star, It was the last opportunity for them to stand in a crowd full of people screaming for the Spice Girls.”

Victoria also spoke about her social skills, “tried to be friends with people but I didn’t fit in so... kept myself to myself,” and her unmistakable star quality, “It became very obvious from the start that I was never going to be the best singer or dancer or actress. I was never a natural. I’ve never been that good at anything, to be completely honest.”

Her talent for grabbing the media spotlight is something that comes natural for the sexy socialite “I’m so camp! I’m such a gay man trying to get out,” she says. “I don’t give a (bleep) what anybody thinks.”

MARY J. BLIGE WANTS HER MARYTV

mary-j-blige-tv.jpg
Mary J. Blige is one busy lady. Not only has Blige recently launched her own YouTube Channel, but she was also just nominated for 2 Grammy Awards –

*Best Female R&B Vocal Performance
(For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.) - “Just Fine”
 - Mary J. Blige

*Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals
(For duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only) - “Disrespectful”
- Chaka Khan Featuring Mary J. Blige

And this news comes as the hip hop R&B soul singer, Mary J. Blige gets ready to release the follow-up the most successful album of her career, the triple platinum The Breakthrough, with her eighth studio CD “Growing Pains” (Geffen Records) on December 18.

Always one to get her message across loud, clear, Mary doesn’t disappoint with the first release off her new CD “Growing Pains” – “Just Fine.” The up-tempo single “Just Fine” displays Blige’s newfound spirit and has already become an instant hit on radio and MTV, BET and VH-1.

The track “Just Fine” was produced by Tricky Stewart and co-written by Mary the Dream. Jazze Pha and Tricky and Dream are the duo behind Rihanna’s “Umbrella.” And Blige said that the splashy hit was almost hers.

In a recent interview to MTV Blige said: “They did the song for me, and it was during the Grammy time and I was really, really busy, and I heard it, and I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, that’s a smash.
