MTV has released the trailer for the new Channing Tatum / Ryan Phillippe movie Stop-Loss, directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry).
Phillippe stars as a soldier who refuses to return to the front lines after being “stop-lossed.” “Stop-loss” refers to the practice of retaining soldiers past their contracted service time, and is the spark for a both compelling and controversial film that co-stars Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Abbie Cornish.
