Lionel Richie, father of Nicole Richie, spoke to the press about his daughter’s upcoming legal troubles. Lionel said: “She keeps apologizing to me. I told her, ‘You’re doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing to your father at this age.’ There’s just so much information out there right now — MySpace, cell phones, the Internet. If we had had all that when The Commodores were around, God only knows what my mother and father would have seen.”
Well it seems that Lionel is not the only man defending Nicole's honor. It is rumored that boyfriend / Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden (the baby's daddy) got into a huge fight with Spencer Pratt (Heidi’s boyfriend on The Hills) at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday afternoon. Allegedly, Joel was upset with Spencer and accused him of spreading bad rumors about Nicole.The two were restrained before things got physical.
Nicole was arrested in December for driving under the influence and pleaded not guilty - her DUI trial is set for July 11 and she is expecting in October.
