Nicole Richie’s trial for DUI has been delayed yet again. Her lawyer stated that the case should be delayed because a key drug-expert witness had been traveling abroad and would not be available for trial. The Los Angeles courtroom granted Richie the new delay, and rescheduled the trial for August 16th. If Richie is convicted of the DUI misdemeanor for a second time, she will follow in the footsteps of her simple life co-star, Heiress Paris Hilton, and will find herself with a minimum sentence of four days with three years of probation. Her fist DUI was in June of 2003 when she was spotted driving the wrong way on a L.A. freeway failed to pass the sobriety test and admitted to smoking marijuana and taking Vicodin earlier that evening.
