There is a lot of buzz around the upcoming film “We Own the Night,” and it mostly about the steamy sex scene between Eva Mendes and Joaquin Phoenix.
The movie is about A new breed of narcotics has swept New York City bringing with it a ferocious crime wave more terrifying than anything in years past. Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) has a hedonistic, amoral lifestyle, but is committed to his girlfriend Amada (Eva Mendes) and has ambitions to open his own club and expand out of Brooklyn. But his dreams are but on hold as the city is in turmoil and an all-out war rages, threatening to engulf guilty and innocent alike. Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) and Police Lieutenant Joseph Grusinsky (Mark Wahlberg) join forces to prove the NYPD's '80s rallying cry in the war on drugs: We Own the Night.
