After spending the night walking the red carpet and being the target of a few "below the belt" joke at the MTV Movie Awards, Paris Hilton surrendered to the L.A. County Sheriff on Sunday night, two days earlier than she was legally set to serve her 23 day sentence.

Paris was joined by her family (mom Kathy, sister Nicky) and her lawyer, as she officially surrendered early - to avoid the feeding frenzy of paparazzi that would happen under the publicized date.

Paris's lawyer released this statement on her behalf:

"I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes. This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."

No Doubt have revealed to Rolling Stone Magazine that that they will return to the studio next week to record their first studio album in six years.

The band had begun working on material since 2006. Guitarist Tom Dumont said, told MTV News, "Tony, Adrian and I have been busy preparing material for the album since this time last year. So we have a lot of instrumentals looking for words. We've written so much stuff that covers so much ground that it's hard to say what sounds will win out in the end."

Gwen Stefani will join the band in the studio after she finishes her concert tour promoting latest album "The Sweet Escape" on October 20.

Adian Young (the groups drummer) tells Rolling Stone magazine: "The three of us are going to lay down some songs with music only. When she gets done with the tour we'll all be there to do it. We've probably got four albums worth of ideas demoed." He furthered that the new material will be "unlike anything else we've ever made."

The album is expected to be completed in fall 2008.

Spears has her lawyers go after the radio station and Clear Channel Communications (the parent company of the Florida station).

This has been an ongoing battle and the company has not responded by taking the billboards down nearly two weeks ago -- as promised.

The action goes on to say that Spears' "likeness has a multi-million-dollar value for authorized commercial exploitations" and Brit would be entitled to "very substantial damages" as a result.

Spears lawyers are all over it and are demanding photo proof that the billboards are removed or else Clear Channel will need to pay up some "mad cash".

It is reported that Julia Roberts and hottie hubby Danny Moder have welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Henry Daniel, to their family.

Daily Variety reported on Monday that Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner's wild life is being turned into a feature film that will look at his social activism as well as his sexual exploits.

"Playboy – the movie” will be directed by Brett Ratner, the filmmaker behind the "Rush Hour" movies, and is being produced for Universal Pictures by Brian Grazer, who won the best picture Academy Award for "A Beautiful Mind."
Hefner, 81, who sold his life rights to Grazer several years ago, approved the duo's vision for the project last week.

The movie will show how Hefner founded Playboy in 1953, turning a $600 investment and a picture of Marilyn Monroe into one of the most successful publishing empires in history. He moved along the sexual revolution of the 1960s and used the pages of Playboy magazine to write lengthy articles that sparked fights on censorship while promoting various other libertarian causes.

Pop sensation Christina Aguilera is looking to diversify her life, and we are not talking about the rumored pregnancy.

Aguilera is now considering breaking through to the other side: Hollywood. The 26-year-old singer wants to find a new challenge and she's reading scripts in order to find the right first acting role. As reported to the press on Monday: “I've been reading scripts for a number of years now. I really am interested in acting as its own art form. While I'm on tour for "Back To Basics" I will be reading scripts. I'm waiting for the right thing to come along. It's important it's the right role.”. She added that, if she were to star in a movie; that would definitely not happen before she wrapped up her tour. Christina is currently in Shanghai for her first Mainland China concert ever.

It seems that getting the first in-prison interview with Paris Hilton was enough for Barbara Walters.

They didn’t try to force me or say they’d place it on Nightline, or give it to someone else to do or any of the things they could have done. They respected my decision and walked away. Some agreed with my decision, some didn’t. For me it was just a question of respect.”

It is rumored that Lindsay Dee Lohan is staying at Promise Treatment center beyond the recommended 30day terms. This means that Lindsay will be away from all temptation on her big 21st birthday (July 2nd). After Linds finishes treatment at the Promises rehab facility in Malibu later this month, she will enroll in the facility’s extended care program. It appears LL is cleaning up her act and taking recovery seriously. Or she is just waiting for all the bulbs to stop flashing on Paris’s release (July 26) and Nicole’s trail (July 11). It is rumored that Madonna has purchased her sixth home in London for a staggering $12 million. The new “crib” is a 10-bedroom Georgian townhouse is in the upscale Marylebone district and is right next door to the eight-bedroom property Madonna and Guy Ritchie currently live with their children: Lourdes Maria and Rocco.

Madge also owns four other homes nearby, two are for staff and the others are used by Kabbalah, reportedly costing over $10 million total.

We are not sure if Britney Spears is playing the pot or the kettle but it is rumored that she has filed a restraining order against her mother Lynne to try and keep her away from her two young sons.

Allegedly, Spears is claiming her mother is abusing prescription pain medication and should not be allowed to see grandsons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney posted some kind of Da Vinci Coded cryptic message aimed at her mother on her official website, saying, “Mother to grandmother and my, my you’re grand.”

Those rumors of reconciliation between the two, apparently is not going to happen anytime soon.

Now that the remake of classic ’80s comedy The Revenge of the Nerds has been officially shelved, Adam Brody has been working with bandmate Bret Harrison on new music for their indie-rock band Big Japan (formerly called Steven's Team).
