After being given a guilty verdict for violating her parole driving recklessly with a suspended license, Paris Hilton has parted ways with her confidant and long-time publicist, Elliot Mintz.
In Touch Weekly is reporting that the 26-year-old heiress Hilton blamed Mintz for her mistake - telling the judge her publicist had told her that her license was only suspended for 30 days and that she could still drive for work-related matters.
But LA prosecutors disagreed. “This is about the fault of Ms. Hilton,” said Deputy City Atty. David A. Bozanich. “She knew [she couldn’t drive], and she did it anyway.”
Paris Hilton has given notice that she will make an official appeal through her lawyers – fighting her 45-day jail sentence.
