Ricky Martin has publicly defended the right of pop stars to come out of the closet, saying he feels solidarity with Christian Chavez of Mexican band RBD, who has recently announced publicly that he is gay.

Martin has stated in an interview with The Associated Press "Life is too short to live closed up, guarding what you say”. Christian "has to be free in many aspects. I wish him much strength."

Movie industry journal Daily Variety reported that Ocean’s Thirteen will make its international premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this May.

No final date is locked down for Steven Soderbergh’s latest installment of the “Ocean’s” franchise but the studio and festival hoped that many of the film’s stars, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Al Pacino, would attend, Variety added.

The much anticipated and long-awaited Apple TV home entertainment adapter has finally been unveiled.

Ritmo Latino, a Spanish music store chain has banned all J-Lo’s CD’s from all of it’s 50 stores, after Ms. Lopez has allegedly refused to do personal appearances at the stores to promote her first Spanish language CD - Como Ama una Mujer ("How a Woman Loves").

Ritmo President David Massry tells the New York Daily News that. “We’ve supported her from the beginning. Now we’re told by her record company she will only visit Anglo retail outlets…This is a Spanish-language CD, and if she wants to discriminate against the Latin community, then we will not sell her product. This is not the first time this has happened. Celebrities have this notion that when they reach a certain level of crossover appeal, they forget quickly where they started. We will no longer tolerate these situations.”

Kevin Lawrie, head of Sony's Latin division (Sony Norte), tells Usmagazine.com: "We (the label) felt that it was important that Jennifer do her in-store in the Bronx, where she is from and where there is substantial cultural diversity. Unfortunately, Ritmo Latino has no outlets in the Bronx."

Nicole Richie has recently been diagnosed (by her spokesperson) with hypoglycemia, but Nicole is stating that shooting the The Simple Life’s at a new mountain location, may have contributed to her recent fainting episodes.

Nicole’s spokesperson had previously blamed hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). More recently, Nicole has rebuked her rep’s statements, telling OK magazine: “The hours I’m doing are really crazy right now and we’re working up in the mountains.”

Nicole continued: “I was getting my hair and make-up done one morning and I turned the heat up to 90 degrees, which I know I probably shouldn’t have done… but I like it really hot in the room. I hadn’t eaten breakfast and I asked for a bowl of cereal, but it had to go through 15 people to even get to me. I walked outside and I wasn’t feeling myself.”

Nicole had been hospitalized for a short time after this incident in early March, and was rumored to have had a number of “dizzy” moments since.

British GQ Magazine has handed out their annual “best-dressed” man of Britain. This year the award went to none other then 007 – Daniel Craig.

It appears that Sony execs are less then happy with the performance of Jennifer Lopez’s highly promoted Spanish-language CD, Como Ama Una Mujer.

Drew Barrymore will team up with cosmetic giant CoverGirl to become the latest celebrity face as well as assist as co-creative director for the new advertising

As Ms. Barrymore explained to E! Online: “To be chosen not only as the newest face of CoverGirl but also as a co-creative director of my first TV commercial is truly amazing.”

Actress, singer, designer, and media mogul Jennifer Lopez is producing a new mini-series musical with a storyline based around songs from her Spanish-language album, Como Ama Una Mujer. As reported Como Ama Una Mujer has had lagging sales since it’s debut – talk about making lemonade from lemons.

Ms. Lopez has teamed up with the Univision Network to create and produce this Sony funded mini-series for Univision called La Flor Palida, a musical drama.

On Saturday night, Julien's Auctions raised an impressive $2,436,900 at NYC's Hard Rock Cafe for the musicians who lost everything in Hurricane Katrina.
