Nobody does it as big as DJ Vic Latino when it comes to serving up the hottest dance mixes. A|X got an exclusive interview with Vic to learn more about his new XM Radio show.
A|X: How long have you been a DJ?
VL: I have been djing on radio for 10yrs, and in clubs for 12yrs.
A|X: How did you get your start?
VL: My first club ever djing at was the Oak Beach Inn (OBI). I was asked to go in and cover for a friend of mine that used to dj weddings. My first paid on-air radio gig was at WBLI in Long Island NY.>
A|X: What advise would you give someone looking to start a successful career in music?
VL: Be persistent and never take NO for an answer, show the world you love what you do and most of all Network...>
A|X: What inspires you when you are spinning?
VL: I love when I am about to play a big record which I think is going to get amazing crowd response, and as I mix it in and look up I love seeing hands in the air and people singing and screaming along.>
A|X: How you best describe your style in music?
VL: I am into energetic dance music. I love dirty electro beats, ie; Evermore "It's Too Late".
A|X: What tracks are out there right now that you would you want to remix?
VL: I love doing remixes for latin pop bands, I think latin music is so sexy and when you add a pulsating beat behind it it creates a magical energy.>
A|X: When does your next tour start?
VL: I am setting up the tour to kick off in Feb. 2007, but for now I am at Mirage in Westbury Long Island every Thursday.>

VL: Tour will be Nationwide.>
A|X: What the best place you have played?
VL: Crobar NYC on Thanksgiving Eve>
A|X: What's unique about it?
VL: It was an amazing VIBE, and everyone was there on the biggest party night of the year and that's what they did Partied!>
A|X: What's your favorite holiday spot?
VL: I love Miami, I am a huge fan of Nikki Beach, there is something so sexy about djing all night and looking out to the beach at 7am and watching the sun come up, very refreshing
A|X: Where is the sexiest nightclub?
VL: Wow, until last year I would have said Miami, but Vegas is becoming very very competitive.
A|X: How would you do describe your personal style?
VL: I am a commercial dj, not one you would go hear a 24 hr set from, I am the guy that gets you in the mood to stay up all those hours partying.
A|X: Tell us about your latest gig on XM Radio?
VL: I am currently on Xm channel 81 BPM Mon-Fri 6p-12 And on Saturday and Sunday from 12-6pm I play all dance music and the show is called Vic Latino's House party. And it is the only outlet in America to hear New refreshing dance music!!!
